The following message is from Eileen Polakoff, APG Professional
Management Coordinator:
I certainly hope to see your face and many, many others at the APG's
Professional Management Conference in Austin, Texas. This special
one-day
event is for you, the professional genealogist, and your colleagues. All
year we work for everyone else... our clients, our students, our
readers...
but one day a year is devoted to the business of being a professional
genealogist. There just isn't anywhere else where you can learn skills
and
techniques that will help you be a better professional. The bonus is
that
Wednesday, September 8th is only the first of four days of learning at
the
Federation of Genealogical Societies annual conference.
Over the next few weeks you will be learning more about the full day of
lectures we are presenting. Future messages will present overviews of
the
lectures themselves and cover the unique credentials of all of our
speakers.
You can also find additional material on the APG website.
You only have two weeks to register at the Early Discount which will
save
you money that will come in handy when you are buying books at the
vendor
hall. Or you might win a book at the Door Prize drawing at the PMC
luncheon.
Register today. Go to www.fgs.org and sign up now. Early registration
deadline is July 26, 2004.
Lecture topics, speaker bios, and registration fee information is also
at http://www.apgen.org/conferences/index.html.
