Hi Amy,

With all due respect, this is an important discussion for genealogists because one of the issues raised is that certain Jewish genealogists are being unreasonable by denying descendants of Jews access to records, by having names removed from the IGI. Professionals can learn a lesson from Gary Mokotoff, who points out that the records being removed are not necessarily reliable.

This is not a discussion about religion. It is a discussion about being
sensitive to others in course of genealogical research and that is definitely relevant
to professionals. I personally have learned a great deal about professionalism from these postings.

<The discussion concerning the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
and the filming of records has become inappropriate for this list. This is
a professional organization and we should not use this forum to discuss or
criticize religious beliefs.

Please keep your postings relevant to the pursuit of professional genealogy.
