Pat,

I understand your frustration and I don't believe that they have the "right"
to sell copies of these pages. I would also assume that your copyright is
registered with the proper forms as well? I suggest contacting a lawyer to
make it an official complaint to them, you will have a case.

One question, how do you feel about people who use a library and copy some
pages from your books?

Kevin

Rollie,

I simply stated the facts as stated on their website. Do you call that
publicly impugning their integrity? If so, they are your words and not mine.
In addition, I have asked, three times, that they remove my books from their
website. And, in my case, no, they did not contact me about appropriate fees
and neither would I have permitted that in any case. I can't answer for the
other authors whose works are also listed there. Neither did I check to see
if you had any works listed. If you do not, this should not be an issue with
you. If you do, and you want to let them sell pages from your book, that's
fine with me.

Pat

I am no expert on the ins and outs of copyright law compliance
requirements. But before you publicly impugned the integrity of this
organization, did you ascertain whether or not HQRL is paying appropriate
fees to copyright holders? (Or am I crazy in believing that such payments
are a viable option in this type of situation?)
