The Department of Veterans Affairs put 3.2 million records for buried veterans on the following website:

http://www.cem.va.gov

The grave-site navigator includes names; birth and death dates; military service dates, branch & rank; and cemetery/grave data. The site was very slow this morning, though, probably because it is just being mentioned in the news.
