If you can let me know when he puts them on eBay, I would appreciate it. I
just donated a similar set of about 120 volumes, including the indexes to
the Westmoreland County [PA] Historical Society along with 7 volumes of
Daughters of the American Colonists and would like to know what a comparable
worth might be. They may also want to pick up volumes missing from my set.

What I have found out is that the 4 volume index had been reprinted in 2
volumes by GPC in 1988 and also put onto a FTM CD-Rom for $39.99. (See

According to an Eastman article
(http://www.ancestry.com/library/view/columns/eastman/4179.asp) 152 of the
166 lineage volumes are available on-line at Ancestry.com.

I believe these other easily accessed places will lessen the perceived value
of the book collection. But that is only my opinion. Perhaps some collector
would like the set of books.

At any rate I would be "all ears" to others opinions or facts.
