Seeing that we're on the subject...

Would harvesting companies be noted on the border crossings when they worked
both in Canada and the United States?? Example: my great-grandfather worked
on a harvesting crew that was said to have worked across Canada and then
came down into the U.S. to work their way back East. I have searched for
this one for years with no luck in an effort to pinpoint when he emigrated
to North America.
