Subject: NGS Manuscript Collection transferred to the DAR Library

The manuscript collection of the NGS Library was transferred to the DAR
Library in late March 2004. Approximately 150 boxes of genealogical materials
constitute the collection. NGS retained some manuscript material for further study
or for other reasons. Catalogers at the DAR Library are presently processing
the material, which will be made available to researchers as soon as each
separate collection is processed. The descriptions of these collections will be
accessible through the DAR Library's online catalog at www.dar.org.

The DAR Library is pleased to accept this material, which was offered to us
to help NGS reduce it's need for storage and office space. Please feel free to
pass this message on to others. Should any of you have any questions about
this material, please send me an email off-list.
