Just a reminder. The deadline for submission of your name, position desired, and biographical information is midnight EST tomorrow - Monday, 12 January 2004.

Be a part of It! Candidates for the first officers of the newest APG chapter
are now being sought. Get there first and help design the structures and
policy guidelines for the successful future of the Florida Chapter of the
APG. Candidates must be members of APG and residents of Florida.

Anyone wishing to be listed as a candidate on the slate for our first election
should submit their name, position desired and a short biographical sketch of
no more than 100 words to <> no later than
midnight Monday, January 12. If you wish to nominate someone other than yourself,
the nominee must send in his or her consent and bio- by the same deadline.

The positions and terms of office that are open are:
President (2004-2005)
Vice President (2004-2005)
Secretary (2004; next term will be 2005-2006)
Treasurer (2004-2005)
Chapter Representative to APG (2004; next term will be 2005-2006)

The Board will meet at least twice during the year at a time and place to be
agreed by them. The Board will also establish a policy for future nominations
and elections.

In keeping with the tradition of APG, this Election Committee will ensure
that there are at least two candidates for each position and, if not, will
solicit additional individuals to provide a choice for each open position. Once the
slate is complete it will be mailed to all Florida members of APG together
with a copy of the chapter by-laws and a deadline for return to the election
committee.

Only ballots returned/postmarked by the deadline will be counted.

We are all looking forward to a wonderful first year for our new chapter.
