Larry --

I tend to agree with Ken Aitken's comments.

"It seems from what I understand, Six Mile is on older jurisdiction name and
the community has now been divided between these metro areas? My practice
in these cases has been to give the jurisdiction as it was on the day of
the event-- and add a note explaining the current situation if that is deemed
necessary."

For example: my former husband was born in San Francisco because that's
what his mother wanted the birth certificate to read; they lived, however,
in Burlingame, CA which is some distance away. His birth certificate gives
San Francisco because that is where the event occurred, despite the fact
that his family paid taxes in Burlingame and that they were otherwise
identified officially as living in Burlingame. However, if San Francisco
had borne another name at that time, I would have recorded the fact as "bp:
San Francisco, the present ____________ City in ______ County (if
relevent.) Parents do strange things sometimes.
