I've just come across an extraordinary site, Varieties of Genealogical
Experience at

, thanks to a post to the Linux Genealogy list by Leif Kristensen. The
site is described as "a site devoted to the theory and philosophy of
genealogy, genealogical metadata, data models and ontologies, markup,
encoding, presentation and communication to humans and machines."

The site contain links to many projects by various technical
genealogical geniuses, who have done some incredible work, much of which
touches on topics of discussion of this list. I searched for the URL in
the archives of APG-L, and found that it had not been mentioned.

I hope this site is useful to some of you.
