Thanks to those of you who have offered
their web sites to post the draft version. I will
be getting back to you individually to work out
any technical issues (maximum possible size,
etc.) before making a final decision.
And, Donn, you are right; using e-mail
attachments would be simpler, if it were feasible
in this case. First of all, the List will not
accept attachments (for obvious reasons) so
anyone who hadn't specifically sent me their
e-mail would be left out. Second of all, my
e-mail doesn't 'like' attachments. I'm sure the
problem could be worked around, as I've
troubleshooted a lot of thorny computer issues
over the years. But troubleshooting takes time,
and I don't have that much time right now.
In fact, whoever hosts the draft version, it
will be necessary for me to mail them a CD with
the file on it. There is no way I would be able
to send out a file on that scale, or that number
of smaller ones, without more trouble than I can
handle.
With computers, simplest is often whatever
is working at the moment... Sigh...
