Subject: [APG] Free business cards and fax number
Date: Thu, 6 Nov 2003 23:16:36 -0500
As many of you know my husband was laid a couple of weeks ago from
Hewlett-Packard. He has been learning about many resources available
including "free" business cards (have to pay shipping) and a free fax
number.
The business cards are available at www.vistaprint.com where the free
designs are separated from the pay designs. Depending on how fast you want
to get them, you can pay as little as $5.25 shipping for the slowest (21
day) delivery. The only "catch" I could find is that they would love to send
you email advertising to the email you register your account with, not the
email on the business card. Like many of you, another piece of spam is not
going to break the bank as I get way too many as it is. I have gotten good
at group deletes.
My husband did order the cards and they did arrive and are printed on a nice
paper. I ordered mine the cheapest way (21 day arrival) and they came in
about a week. I have not had a noticeable increase in spam.
The free fax number is for faxes to be able to turn up in your email. I read
its fine print and they also can send you advertising. There is a limit of
20 fax pages per month that can be sent to you and they can cancel your
account if not used for a period of time. If you want to evaluate it further
for yourself, go to www.efax.com.
As always, your mileage may vary <g>.
