I was able to solve the problem of the wife of Daniel2 French through three
records none of which were marriage records. I determined her to be a sister of
John Peyton even though there is no record of John Peyton having a sister.

1. John Peyton was present when Daniel2 bought what became the Rose Hill
tract.

2. John Peyton was present when Daniel3 son of Daniel2 choose his guardian in
Prince William County, VA.

3. Daniel3 French deeded slaves to daughters of Henry Peyton whom he called
his cousins. And later Elizabeth4 French who married Benjamin Tasker Dulany
named a son John Peyton Dulany.
