Ellie,

Did he have a pension? If so, make sure you have looked at the full pension
record. You need to use National Archives microfilm publication M804
"Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty-Land-Warrant Application Files" (Record Group 15:
Records of the Veterans Administration).

The National film M805 "Selected Records From the Revolutionary War Pension
and Bounty Land Application Files" is a smaller series that only contains
selected records. You should be looking at the entire file.
