Subject: [APG] Multiple postings endorsing products

Cindy:

I think it is inappropriate to use the APG Mailing List to promote
products. It is entirely proper to make a single posting presenting the
facts, but pushing the product with multiple postings is improper. If
nothing else, it begs responses from people about the product you are so
excited about.

I visited the "vendor" area of the e-genconference and found it
underwhelming. It is nothing more than a link to the vendor's
site--there is no content. To compare it to the experience of visiting a
vendor booth at an NGS and FGS conference, where you can interact with
the exhibitor, fondle the products, and get free candy is a gross
misrepresentation.

I have visited familyhistoryradio.com, which you previously touted, and
find it equally underwhelming. I plan to review it in my e-zine "Nu?
What's New?" but first will send the review to the owners of FHR so they
can rebut any of my comments.

Subject: [APG] eGenconference vender booths. WOW!

Hi All,

Before I left for work today I wanted to take a quick see of the venders
who
were present at the eGenconference. Boy was I pleased. I veiwed so many
of my
favorites that I normaly vistit while at a Major Genealogical event such as
NGS and FGS. Each booth is set up differently with their own little
personality.
I really liked the fact that the booths conected right to the venders site.
What a Great concept :^)

Living in Utah for several years I got accustom to being able to buy the
lates and greatest books in Genealogy. However, moving to Louisiana has
made this
a bit more difficult. Now with the eGenconference I can check it all
out. Stop
by and see what I'm talking about <A
