I too wondered about the Pfalz area as Dahn or Busenberg, Pfalz, Bayern
I thought had a good candidate for 'my' Hessian [as far as names &
birthdate went...]
I had rejected it as being too far away from the various states where the
soldiers came from
[ I also didn't like that he was a Roman Catholic, since the family was
primarily Lutheran in this country]
But I thought I'd second the motion Nelda has...
Were any of the Hessian soldiers from that area

Ok we know I'm very interested in the two Probst mentioned in the
Website.... My question is:
about ansbach-bayreuth, is Kandel, Pfalz, Germany an area where the
soldiers of this area came from? Trying to figure out if my German/Swiss
Probst who came from Kandel, Pfalz, Germany; could be related to:
