Thanks to Barb for sending in this Allentown POW camp information. I
found the article in the Morning Call archives. I did not see it in the
edition of the paper that I get (7th edition). I have the Roberts Lehigh
County History and must have missed the mention of the POW camp when
skimming through the various chapters over the years. What is
unfortunate is that no information is given on the Hessians names. The
Lehigh County History is 3 volumes with volume II & Vol III being
biographical. Unfortunately, the indexing is only by surname.
Incidently, I live in a township adjacent to Allentown, PA.
Peggy Lyte Tyrrell, descendant of Gottlieb Westfall - Berks and
