Alas, the surviving pay records for the Ansbach-Bayreuth troops do not list
any biographical details. In 1802 a "wanted list" was published in the
Bayreuth Zeitung, [newspaper] but it does not include him. Those named had
hereditary property in Germany which was subject to forfeiture to the
government id the named parties did not appear in court within nine months
and justify their "desertion."
