In the 1910 Census for Bryan Precinct in Walker County it lists that
Tilleroe Morgan (age 20) was living in the house with his parents, William
Henry Morgan and Nancy Drummond Morgan. It lists Tilleroe Morgan's
occupation as ferryman? Does anyone know much about this occupation? Could
it have been for what I have heard referred to as the Phillps Ferry. Has
anyone heard about the history of this Ferry---or can anyone shed some light
on how to find more information about the occupation or even if the Phillps
Ferry was till running in 1910? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
