Hi again. This is a shot in the dark. I'm still trying to get a lead
on Mary Jane William's parents. She was born in 1846 in AL (per 1870
census) and married David Burton Ford (b. 1844 in GA, an only child).
Her sons were named Billy (for William C *Billy* Ford, David's father),
Joseph and John. I suspect the "Joseph" also came from the Ford side,
since William C. had a brother named Joseph. The "John" may have come
from the Ford side, but it would have been another generation back. So,
anyway, has anyone run across a "Joseph Williams" or "John Williams" in
AL some time between 1815 and 1870?
