Hi, I am flustered! I have posted this info at least two times and to
my knowledge, I have yet to get a respond.......Surely there is someone
out there with a Whitney in ALABAMA.......Elhanna "Tony" Whitney was b
1838 Ala. He lived in Walker Co, Ala. until late in life and then
moved to Greene Co or Craighead Co, Arkansas along with his wife Romelia

Katherine Falls, his younger children and at least three grandchildren
of his daughter, Minerva Whitney b1873 Walker Co, Alabama married Lee
Pickens Barrentine 1890 in Walker Co, Alabama......Minerva was dead and
Lee Pickens in prison, so the Whitneys carried the 3 daughters of
Minerva and Lee Pickens to Arkansas with them, Huey Etta b 1891 Ala
married Charlie "Pat" Higgins 1908 in Greene Co, Ark.; Ada Bell b 1893
married Oscar Childress 1908 in Greene Co, Ark.; Rossie Velma b
1895.......

Is Minerva Reed his mother? Where is his father and who is his father?
Did his mother remarry and have another family? I have never been able
to find a clue to this mystery.
