Have you gotten a copy of your grandmother's marriage certificate? Depending on the state, it could have her parents' names on that.
You could also get a copy of her Social Security application, if she had one, -- that also could have her parents names.
You need to find these documentations or others because whoever provided the death certificate info could have been wrong. Does the death certificate list who provided the info?
