Hello, Sheri, I sure wish that I could help you more...Have you looked
in any phone book lately under LEWIS? Yikes!
It's been awhile since I posted that querie and I do have information to
add but I don't think that it would help you very much. My Grandfather
was born 1891 in Athens, Greece and my Father, Anthony Edward Lewis was
born in Los
Angeles County, Calif. in 1924. Family members gave my Grandfather the
name LEWIS as they couldn't (wouldn't) pronounce his Greek name and so
that is my search..to find what the "real" name is.!!
I wasn't raised by my father and just reunited with him this year in March
on my 48th birthday. I found him by writing a letter to the Social Security
Administration and telling them that I was looking for my father, with
every
bit of information that I had and knew to be fact, and my search was for
medical purposes. Inside the envelope with the letter to the Adminstration
I wrote a somewhat inpersonal letter to my father and put it inside a
unsealed stamped envelope with my return address. Now if they can find
your father and he is still living they will forward your letter to him
and IF HE WISHES he will write to you. At this time, that is the best that
I can
suggest but I guess I was lucky as it worked for me.
Good Luck to you, Marie LC
