I am interested in more information about the Paden District. Where is it and/or what is it? When was it given that name and for what reason? My gggrandfather was John P. PEDEN, however was shown on the 1860 Cherokee County, AL census as John P. PADEN. I am wondering if there is some connection. I -- and a lot of cousins -- have come up against a wall when trying to gain information about John P. I am hoping that information about the Paden District might give us a new direction in which to look!
