Hi there!

I saw there was an earlier question about to location of Kambeb. I've worked with several Namibia gazetteers in the past and have not come accross this place before. That doesn't mean it does not exist. The closest I could get was Kanubeb (if someone wrote "Kanubeb" in handwriting, someone else could easilly read the 'n' and 'u' as 'm' as in "Kambeb"). Another alternative could be Keibeb, although I would start with Kanubeb. I don't know how much of an actual town Kanubeb is, but it is marked on the map approximately 20-25km's as the crow flies NE from Rehoboth - not too far from the railway line. In the olden days this could've been anything from a farmstead to a watering hole. I will investigate further and feed back if I find anything of relevance.

Vriendelike groete,

Petrus
