Hi Tracey



I read your enquiry and also the reply from Heinz Krumrey. I went to our
local research library to search for KAMBEB but to no avail.

I think that Heinz is correct to suggest that it must be KARIBIB,

I checked in the book " first 100 years of State Railway in Namibia - no
siding or station names Kambeb.



I found the following references to WILLIS :



Annual Book 1919/20 - G W Willis, Lieut. Stationmaster at Keetmanshoop

Annual Book 1926 & 1928 - Lionel Henry at farm Spitzkoppen west , district
Keetmanshoop

Annual Book 1928 - P S Willis, welder at railway in Keetmanshoop



If you send me the exact date of birth of your grandfather, I will make
enquiries at Karibib if he is on their records.

Please have a look if there is a reference number on the birth certificate
which could be helpful in tracing him.
