Dear Listers,

I placed this request once before on the List when it first started and got no joy as there seemed to be no movement at that time. I see there is now a few requests, so I will try again.

We are trying to trace the whole VAN HELSDINGEN family tree since the first 'stamvader' arrived in 1696. We have numerous lines so far, but there are a lot of blank spaces too.

Our uncle made mention that there was a split and some of the family went to Namibia/South West Africa. I have since heard the same information from another source, and my daughter once met a man who told her that there are a number of van Helsdingen's in Namibia. They were farmers, he said. Unfortunately she did not think to ask for more information.

I would like to know if there are any van Helsdingen's on the List - or alternatively if any of the members know anyone by that name, or where I can contact anyone with that name.??
