Good morning Bob,

Thank you for the quick reply to my query.

I am not terribly worried about Douglas Arthur THOMSON's wife because I have
quite a bit of information on her.

How would I go about paying for a certificate. Would it be in Kenyan
shillings, Sterling, US$ or AUD$?

Have a good day,

Karen WATKINS

Dear Karen

I certainly have Douglas Arthur in my lists. He is buried at Forest Road
Cemetery, Nairobi.

Details as follows

Thompson, Douglas Arthur, British, age 57, died 9.9.38 buried 10.9.38. plot
14 grave 42.

I don't have any note that there is a headstone on the grave so can tell you
nothing more. I have no record for Dorothy.

I have never seen a Kenya death certificate but would guess it would be very
similar the UK ones, particularly as Kenya was under Colonial rule at that
time.

Certificates, at least recent ones, can be obtained from Sheria house in
Nairobi. I don't have the postal address at the moment but will try and get
it for you. Cost is about Kenya Shillings 200 (UKĀ£ 1.35).

regards

Bob
