Hello fellow listers.

I have just subscribed to the list and thought I should post my interests.

As briefly as possible follows my interest in Kenya.

My father was born in Nairobi where he spent the first four years of his
life. The copy of his Birth Certificate shows the family residence as -
Chiromo, Nairobi. (1928) ? Is Chiromo a place or would that have been the
name of the house?
My grandfather(William Arthur Knight),I am told, had a job supervising the
building of the Mombassa to Nairobi Railway. ? Would there be somewhere I
can write (snail or email) to find out any details?
My ggrandfather(Robert Mountford - William's father-in-law),I am told,
designed the Botanical Gardens in Nairobi. I have searched the web with no
success in finding these gardens.
Is it possible for SKP to point me in the right direction to trace my
ancestors employment?
