Hi Sue

I am struggling to find records, as a branch of my family also landed there.
They would have arrived a little later than the time frame mentioned by you,
but my family have noted that the red cross held some records through which
they traced a lost step-sibling. I have not yet checked how extensive the
red cross records are, but believe that it would be the red cross in
Belgium. Please let me know if you find out more, as I want to get hold of
them too. I am busy preparing for 2 of my children's weddings, so genealogy
has to take a back seat.

My family in the Congo is named Bothma, mother's maiden name Wittemans (she
was apparently a doctor, he a big game hunter.

Subject: [AFR-CONGO] Rubber Plantations 1900

Hello

Can you tell me if there are any records of owners, managers, staff and
workers of plantations 1900-1910?

I am trying to trace a woman - my grandmother - who was in the 'Belgian
Congo' as the family story goes. She left around 1914/15.

Any help greatly appreciated.
