Hi my name is Craig Ramos and i am trying to find where my grandfather Philip Ramos came from.He was born in 1893 on either San Vincent or Sao Antao Cabo Verde.He married my grandmother Violet Gale here in Wales but i have not got a date for their wedding, my father Richard Philip Ramos was born here in Cardiff in 1922.My grandfather must have got a job on one of the merchant ships sailing between Cardiff and Mindelo roundabout 1910 as Cardiff was exporting a substantial amount of coal to Mindelo after that he worked as a merchant seaman in the British navy.He died here in Cardiff in 1962 aged 69.I have been to Cabo Verde three times in the last two years but as yet had no luck any help would be greatly appreciated.
