Anita,

Unfortunately, records in Cape Verde are really hard to obtain without
specific information. It is not as advanced as methods in the United
States. Also, information dating that far back, I have heard, are in
Portugal, taken there before Cape Verdean independence.

Hello listers,
I have just restarted to research my husband's gg grandfather Domingo Jose
Evora / Evorall. I do not know on which island he was born just that it was
Cape Verde. I do not know how it works over there with your Archives but
would it be possible for some nice person to go there and look it they can
find some information for this man. He was born about 1847, he left Cape
Verde to live in Tasmania, Australia. Any advice would be appreciated.
