Hi there! My name is Jane Godfrey and I have been on the list for a couple
of months although I was on the list at an earlier time. Don't let my name
fool you....Godfrey is my husband's contribution and my maiden name, Holmes,
came from a wayward Irishman. Most of my names are French Canadian and
Acadian.
As far as my Acadian names go:
On my paternal list are Hebert and Helie for starters and my maternal side
has Savoie, Thibodeau, Richard, Robichaud and many others. As far as I
know, all my Acadians were in New England and New Brunswick after The Grand
Derangement.
It's great to be back on the list. I have gotten some much needed help from
some great folks! Jane
