Don & List,

On another LANDRY:

The record of burial for Firmin LANDRY in 1801 (SM Ch.: v.4, #231) clearly
reads "sesenta y diez y seis" or 76 years [sixty and sixteen]. The 67 was
probably a typo in the first vol. 1 of Donald Hebert's Southwest Louisiana
Records.

In the much enlarged and corrected volume 1-B, p.428, the transcript has "76
years old." It is also corrected on the Hebert CD-101 (a wonderful tool!) as:

LANDRY, Firmin - of Acadia (Alexandre & ---) m. to Theotiste THIBAUDAU He
died suddenly; bur. 4 Feb. 1801 at age "sesenta y dies y seis anos"
[literally 60 and 16 years] 76 years. Fr. Michel Bernard BARRIERE (SM Ch.:
v.4, #231)
