Hi Julian,

Did anyone send you a picture of the Ohev Zion Temple in Martinsville? If
not, I can take one the next time I'm over that way. I'm pretty sure it's
still being used...I know that when a Jewish member of our community dies,
their funeral is usually held there.

How's the book coming along? Sounds like an interesting project.

Hi:
I am looking for someone to photograph the exterior of the former Ohev Zion Jewish Temple in Martinsville located at 801 Parkview Avenue. I am not sure if this is still a functioning congregation or not.

I am researching American synagogue architecture for a planned e-Book and have photographs of most of the synagogues and temples in Virginia, but I do not have a photo of the one in Martinsville.

If there is anyone out there who might be able to assist or knows of someone, please get in touch with me. Photo credits will be listed for the photographer upon publication.

[VACMARTI] Seeking Obit or Newspaper article

A cousin of mine was killed in a car crash on his wedding day.
Or so the family story goes.
Any info on him at all would be appreciated.

John Taylor Campbell was born abt 1922 in Henry or Patrick Co VA.
I believe he died in the 1940's or 50's as he was a young military man at the time of his death, as far as I know.

I appreciate your time in this.
