<description>             It appears that Gertrude was married in Canada.  See grl.com for a notation of her 1909 marriage.  She possibly met her husband while visiting relatives in Canada and such information as witnesses might lead to other contacts.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;             Brewster and Harriet, Anne&#x27;s parents, had a daughter born in Elizabethtown in 1848.(newspaper article)  That same year, according to the census, Oliver came to the states, but he may not have come directly to Elizabethtown.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;            He should have been there, however, by the summer of 1855 just prior ro their marriage.  I would check the New York State Essex County Census. for that and later NY census.  Some questions were different, &#x26; again there might be some useful clue there.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;                               Margaret Benelli   ..  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;
