<title>[LAOIS] BOWE - LAWLOR</title>
<link>http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/IRL-LAOIS/2008-08/1218922392</link>
<description>I&#x27;ve been following the conversation about Michael BOWE and Bridget TOBIN in Ballinakill who were married c 1790 and had a daughter, Bridget.  My ancestor is Thomas BOWE born about 1765, married to Julia LAWLOR c  1790 both from Ballinakill.  I am wondering if Michael and Thomas may be brothers.  Anyone have any information or thoughts about this?&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Barbara&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;

He settled in Virginia where he was&#x3C;BR&#x3E;called &#x22;Irish John.&#x22; My stepfather was named John Brannon, he was the son&#x3C;BR&#x3E;of William Brannon, son of John Brannon, son of Bushrod Brannon, who was a&#x3C;BR&#x3E;grandson of the John Brannon who emigrated. I have a list of all the&#x3C;BR&#x3E;original John&#x27;s children, will find and post it. Some lines spelled it&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Brannon and some Brannan. My step-grandfather remembered that Sam Brannan&#x3C;BR&#x3E;had been &#x22;some sort of cousin,&#x22; but the exact relationship had been&#x3C;BR&#x3E;forgotten.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Louise Wagenknecht&#x3C;BR&#x3E;lbrannon@ida.net&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; I am looking for Patrick Brannan b abt. 1715-1725 + or -- ?, and&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; descendants&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; from abt. 1715-1725 in the area of Queens, Stradbally, Ire.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; Maxie&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; willma@sprynet.com&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; ----- Original Message -----&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; From: &#x22;Liam Martin&#x22; &#x3C;L.Martin@zen.co.uk&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; To: &#x3C;irl-laois@rootsweb.com&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2008 1:58 PM&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E; Subject: Re: [LAOIS] Brannon, Patrick b abt 1715-1727 in Ireland.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Only one BRANNAN shows up in the 2001 Electoral Roll in the Rep of&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Ireland&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Viz:&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; BRANNAN,MALCOLM,9,VERONA,QUEENS PARK,,,,BLACKROCK,CO DUBLIN&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; No BRANNONs&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; http://www.eircomphonebook.ie gives neither name even in Dublin&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; There are 616 Brannons in the UK in the same year and 2622 BRANNANs&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Drop Malcolm a line - you might be cousins&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Liam&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; &#x22;A bird in the bush is worth two in the cat&#x22;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; &#x22;A bird in the bush is worth two in the cat&#x22;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; ----- Original Message -----&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; From: &#x22;Will&#x22; &#x3C;willma@sprynet.com&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; To: &#x3C;IRL-LAOIS@rootsweb.com&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2008 8:15 PM&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Subject: [LAOIS] Brannon, Patrick b abt 1715-1727 in Ireland.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; ----- Original Message -----&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; From: &#x22;Will&#x22; &#x3C;willma@sprynet.com&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; To: &#x3C;waterford@rootsweb.com&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Sent: Tuesday, August 05, 2008 12:29 PM&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E; Subject: Brannon, Patrick b abt 1715-1727 in Ireland.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;&#x3E;I am looking for Patrick Brannon b abt 1715-1727 Irel.
