Ridling. <BR>Earl did not marry Etta Tong. Marietta was Earl's mother, she married Robert Wiley Ridling 6 April 1912. Etta was born 11 June 1892, her son Earl Talmadge, who is buried at Shady Grove Church Cemetery, was born 26 Sept 1916.<BR> <BR>Robert Ridling and Marietta Tong had 7 sons, Herman, Thurman, Earl, Paul, Eugene, Leon, Leroy,(twins) and 1 daughter, Murvel. Most of the boys went to school at Cale, a small settlement SE of Prescott, and I have some of their photos, and I have been told, that if you picked a fight with one of these boys..you better be prepared to fight them all!! Earl Talmadge Ridling only lived 1 year and 11 months as he died 8 Aug 1918, and if I am not mistaken, I believe he died of a blocked colon.
